At the Atelier, play and exploration are part of learning. Among trees and discoveries, children have room to create, imagine, climb, get their hands dirty and connect with others.
Our approach draws on Forest School and respects each child’s pace and initiative.

What do children learn here?
In nature, learning is not confined to a classroom or a planned activity. Play, observation and relationships bring together different areas of development.
Expression and communication
Play with natural materials invites language, imagination, art and movement. Finding patterns, counting, comparing, building and storytelling create opportunities to explore mathematics and communicate ideas.
Understanding the world
By observing plants, animals, seasons and changes in the landscape, children ask questions, experiment and develop care for the environment. Nature is both their setting and a source of learning.

Early Childhood Educator
Qualified in 2013 at the School of Education of the Polytechnic Institute of Setúbal.
She values the relationships between children, families and their learning environments. Play, nature and respect for each child’s pace guide her approach.
